This print is taken from an original collage of bird heads cut out of the pages of an old field guide. All of the material that goes into Amy’s collages is found on the shelves of used bookstores, from field guides to auction catalogues and art history books to illustrated encyclopedias.

The idea for this particular collage came to Amy while baking Valentine’s Day cookies with her daughter, when she used a cookie cutter as a guide for the heart shape.
