Typographie - AP By Douglas Wilson

These prints are Artist Proofs, prints that didn't quite make the cut to become part of the signed and numbered edition. Because of the nature of letterpress, there are always slight challenges that arise while printing and a few prints aren't quite perfect. Each AP has a slight imperfection - either some stray ink, or a patchy impression - but as many people would agree, this adds to the uniqueness of the print!

Doug has spent this past summer living in Geneva, Switzerland and printing as an artist-in-residence at L'Association pour le Patrimoine Industriel (API - The Association of Industrial Heritage). He used the collected letterpress equipment and antique type to make this beautiful print.
